Royal Opera House Education & Deneholm Primary School

I am the Creative Curriculum Leader and Year 5 teacher of Deneholm Primary School. I had the great pleasure to work closely with Sue earlier this year. Sue came to the school as part of the Royal Opera House Creative Partnership Programme.

Sue worked with my Year 5 class. She carried out a Sound workshop where she passed on her expertise in a stimulating and fun way. Sue worked with a variety of children of different abilities, cultures including an autistic child. I felt confident to leave my children under Sue’s care. Sue presented excellent behaviour management skills and managed to differentiate her sessions to stimulate and keep all children engaged.

Sue and my class then worked for several days on a large showcase production. Here I observed her enthusiasm and at all times total professionalism when working with the children.

The class adored her and learned new skills. I would have Sue back in a heart -beat and feel any educational setting would benefit from her expertise and commitment to the progression and well-being of the pupils.

Film London

I would have no hesitation in recommending both Sue Bowerman and Blanket. Film London had the pleasure of working with Sue and her team from Blanket, over a number of projects in the past two years. Blanket were utterly professional and skilled in being able to provide Film London with the recording and editing of Podcasts (both basic and enhanced with visuals) for its online presence supporting film-makers.

Sue could not have been more helpful or supportive herself, always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done, passionate about the work and keeping us, as clients, happy with our commission. The finished results were of an extremely high standard and fitted perfectly our needs. We would highly recommend both Sue and Blanket.

Kevin Dolan – Talent Development Manager

Strut Records

Sue has produced and edited various music and spoken word pieces for Strut Records including the excellent hour-long audio documentary that formed part of the label’s Nigeria 70 compilation album. Each project was really well constructed, concisely edited but with additional creative touches that gave each piece a unique and very listenable character. From experience, she is excellent at working to any brief, whether it be longer programmes or snappy 3-minute radio segments.

Quinton Scott – Managing Director

Royal Holloway University London

As Manager of the Media Festival at Royal Holloway, I employed Sue Bowerman to design a media initiative for young people between the ages of 14 – 19. Sue responded to the brief with an innovative and exciting Media project, which proved stimulating and informative fun for the students.

Throughout the project, Sue was highly organised – her planning and delivery was executed with the highest level of professionalism and quality. Sue also brought a great energy to the project – versatile, reliable and hugely supportive throughout.

A genuine passion and interest in Media and education – I would welcome the opportunity to work with Sue in the future.

Stuart Howitt Production Services

I have worked with Sue on many occasions at various locations. Every event runs without stress and every bit of information is precise. Nothing is ever overlooked and the attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend Sue and Blanket.

Stuart Howitt – Owner

Sue is a wonderful, charismatic and creative person. Having worked alongside her on several occasions, more recently on an event called The Sofa Sessions, with Mary Anne Hobbs. Her vision to create an event that was not only informative, educational and fun, she is willing to encourage young people who are passionate about their “art” and “creativity” to follow their dreams with her extended knowledge and vast access to resources.

She is more than willing to mark her stamp within the creative industries and she is always at the forefront of new ideas and concepts. A natural born leader and creative. Her creative and educational ability is of an exceptional standard. She is definitely someone you would want on your team.

Sei-Kee Lau – Roundhouse Radio Student

Sue is an amazing tutor at The Roundhouse Studios. I first met Sue whilst on a radio course and her passion and enthusiasm for the medium was great. She really understands how to get the best out of her students and made us all feel welcome and comfortable whilst learning about a new topic.
