Blanket Education: Radio Club

Radio Clubs are creative sessions, which use Radio Production tools to encourage creativity in participants, be it presentation skills, producing, project management, writing, performing to the more technical skills required to make radio shows. Some schools will choose to not just run weekly sessions but use and extend these into creating their very own school radio station. The benefits and options are infinite! They are suitable for Nursery through to sixth form, FE and HE.

They are designed to operate as after-school clubs, lunchtime clubs, or be incorporated within usual school working hours. These bespoke sessions will be created in partnership with each school, ensuring the needs and aspirations of the school are met. Where possible, we also like to include the students in the planning process to make sure their special requests are also included. We keep these lines of communication open from the very beginning, resulting in very happy customers and unquestionable progress and results.

These Radio Clubs are very popular with parents because they can see and hear how much their children improve in the areas of: confidence building, spoken word / performance skills, literacy, creativity, creative writing (age dependent), story building, use of new technologies and broadcast equipment, building of life skills – they will take all of these new found skills into their every day life and most importantly, teamwork!

Blanket have been delivering these kind of sessions in mainstream education and informal settings since 2006. Read some of the testimonials.
